Supporting a genomic start-up's website transfer and renovation

The marketing team at Genomenon, a start-up company who makes genomic evidence actionable using AI technology, moved their website from Wordpress to Webflow. This opportunity allowed for a more modern and user-friendly redesign.

March - August 2024

I worked as a UX intern by managing the transfer of hundreds of CMS items and redesigning web pages.

01 Awards Page Creation

Competitive Analysis

With the marketing team, I put together a spreadsheet with other websites' awards pages, and we took notes about their designs and features.

02 News Page Redesign

Redesign

I added 70 news items to the CMS and needed a design that supported this content. The Genomenon marketing team agreed that the most recent news items are the highest priority, and past items should be hidden until requested through a "See More" button.

03 About Us Redesign

Above the Fold

Competitive analysis showed me that the most important features to begin with are hook statements, a photo of the company's mission, and an "About Us" blurb.

01 Redesign included a reworking of the previous component, centering the images and aligning the buttons. 02 Redesign pulled a component from another page to draw more attention to the section.

Our Team

The tone of the company is professional and scientific, and I wanted the team feature to reflect that.
